Polydorus


Polydorus, son of Priam, king of Troy. In Titian’s picture the episode of the murder of Polydorus takes place. On the order of his father Polydorus brought Troy’s gold to his brother-in-law for safekeeping, but the later murdered him out of greed. In the center, the burning of Troy is visible.
