Mikhail Alexandrovich Fonvizin
(von Vizin) 1787-1854 – officer of Izmaylovsky regiment, retired in 1822 in the rank of general-major, nephew of the Russian writer Denis I. Fonvizin; participant of the war with Napoleon in 1812, 1813-1814, member of the freemason society; member of the North Society, which organized anti-tzar plot in December 1825. Was accused and sent to Siberia. He is the author of memoirs, articles on history and philosophy
