was commissioned by Charles V. From the beginning the painting had a different title. Charles V called it The Last Judgment, later it was called The Triumph of the Trinity. The Trinity is represented in the upper part of the painting, while in the lower band is assassination of St. Peter Martyr, who died confessing his Trinitaruan belief. The assembled saints worship the Trinity and from this derives the present name of the painting
