Delvig, Andrey Ivanovich
(1813-87), engineer, Lieutenant General of the engineer corps (1868). The water systems of Moscow and other cities, as well as numerous railroads were built under his guidance. One of the founders and the first Chairman (1866-70) of the Russian Technical Society; became senator in 1871. Author of memoirs about Alexander Pushkin
