Biography
Bartolommeo di Pagola del Fartorino, also known as Baccio della Porta because his family home was at the Porta di San Pier Gartolino, was born in 1472 in Soffignano near Florence. At the age of 12 he was sent to the workshop of Cosimo Rosselli, where he studied art. He also took lessons from Ghirlandaio. Read Fra Bartolommeo's Full Biography
